Where The Heart Is

Running Time: 60 minutes (approx)

This heartwarming British drama series tells the ultimate stories of family, love and growth that is had in a small British rural community.

The first series of this 6 x 50 minute programme was screened in the autumn of 1997 and achieved ratings of 11 million viewers+, the best first season for a drama since Peak Practice and Heartbeat.

Set against the beautiful rugged landscape of Yorkshire, this drama follows the busy professional and family live of district nurses Peggy Snow (Pam Ferris) and Ruth Goddard (Sarah Lancashire). The two are very much the heart of the tight knit community of Skelthwait and are Sisters-in-law.

This series is an engaging story of life, love, family and people's ever-changing fortunes in the heart of England, very much like real life.
