In part one of a two-part story, Bosco works with an elite unit and pursues a murder suspect, Vernon. But the case will fail unless a frightened young witness, Miguel (Marc John Jeffries), agrees to testify, which his mother knows would endanger his life. Meanwhile, Yokas' patience is tested when she is partnered with a spiteful Sully, who endangers himself and others. Plus, Davis grows openly hostile in his role as the driver for the philandering Chief George Hancock (Julian Gamble).
