A fire breaks out in a supermarket where Bosco and his mother Rose (Patti D'Arbanville) are shopping. Bosco helps in the other shoppers' rescue, but he fails to save one young mother and vows to find the arsonist. Meanwhile, lovelorn Doc behaves differently than he usually does and asks a pretty fire victim, Joy (Cassandra Creech), out on a date. Resentful Davis continues to cause trouble with his attitude while chauffeuring a police superior, Chief George Hancock (Julian Gamble).
