Doherty's flirtation with his new motorcycle ends abruptly when he comes upon a road-blocking accident and crashes. The major multiple-vehicle collision results in numerous injuries and trapped motorists. Doherty must rush to free the victims before a highly combustible fuel leak ignites. As other rescue units arrive, Doc deals with a terminally ill physician, Dr Cohen (Dan Frazer), who wants to be left alone to die. Meanwhile, Bosco and Yokas pursue a hit-and-run driver and Carlos treats a rude victim, Linda (Dina Pearlman). Away from the carnage, Sully becomes upset when he notices that the police are monitoring the activities of his wife, Tatiana (Savannah Haske).
