An exhausted Yokas keeps vigil as her teenage daughter Emily (Bonnie Dennison) fights for her life after a drug overdose. Yokas ponders her family's history of alcohol abuse and the warnings of her own mother, Mona (Mia Farrow). Meanwhile, Bosco reluctantly accompanies determined Sergeant Maritza Cruz (Tia Texada) on her personal mission to find the dealers who sold drugs to her hopelessly addicted sister, Lettie (Martha Millan). Plus, Doc questions Kim's reluctance to testify in Carlos' sexual harassment lawsuit.
