As a violent snowstorm strikes New York City, Yokas worries about the dating habits of her teenage daughter, Emily (Bonnie Dennison). Yokas' concerns prove prophetic when Emily and her older boyfriend, Eric Beckman (Joseph Cross), are trapped in a snowdrift after using a dangerous drug. Meanwhile, overworked Doc risks his career by pitying Carlos, who is still suspended from duty because of a patient's molestation charge, and putting him back to work. Davis detects a new aspect to Sully's self-destructive attitude.
