The squads are stationed at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel to provide protection during a Senate race debate. While the cops discuss politics and the death penalty, the paramedics talk about their worst cases, religion, relationships and how life doesn't turn out as planned. Kim and Jimmy argue again over his irresponsibility when her pay-cheque is used to cover one of his debts and Jimmy resolves to clean up his act.
