During an online chat, Surgeon General Dr. Courtney Griffith makes comments sparking a controversy over the legalisation of marijuana. As Leo and Josh ask for her resignation, matters are complicated when President Bartlet's middle daughter Ellie makes comments to the press. Meanwhile, an outcry occurs after a controversial upcoming movie is routinely refused a screening at the White House and the movie director accuses Bartlet of cowardice.
