Excellent crime drama from the 1970s featuring karl malden as the wise Lieutenant Mike Stone who is partnered with the idealistic young Steve Keller played by Michael Douglas.

Together they solve homicide cases in san francisco, the scripts are involved and thoughtful and the performances of stars and guest stars are always compelling.
