As term time begins again, Seth and Ryan settle back into Newport Life. The pair try to win back the affections of Summer and Marissa, but it soon becomes clear that things aren't going to return to the way they once were. Meanwhile, Hailey harbours ambitions to pursue a career in fashion but, upon hearing that she wants to move, Jimmy attempts to keep her from leaving. And Caleb's legal history returns to haunt him again.
