The gang get the chance for a few heart-to-hearts this week when they're accidentally locked in a mall for the night. Marissa and Summer catch up about the state of their current love lives, while Seth tries to help Ryan get over Lyndsay's departure. Meanwhile, Julie and Kirsten await the arrival of Carter, the new editor of Newport Living. But when a face from Julie's past reappears, bringing with him evidence of something she'd rather forget about, the evening comes to an abrupt end.
