The residents of Orange County continue to struggle with their interwoven families, as the tension between Caleb and Lindsay worsens. Ryan tries to smooth things over by arranging a dinner for them to get to know one another, but the meal is interrupted when Ryan and Caleb butt heads. Meanwhile, Seth is having trouble concentrating on the comic, with Summer's presence proving to be a distraction. Her attempts to 'get into character' during a late night sketch session lead to a close encounter, and more frustration for Seth. Elsewhere, Sandy attempts to cover up Rebecca's arrival in town, and agrees to take on her case.
