When a star witness in a high-profile narcotics case is murdered, the CBI team concludes the killing was the work of the drug baron he was about to testify against. However, Patrick concocts an alternative theory, one that suggests the real target of the hit was the witness's girlfriend - also found dead at the scene - whose dubious connections to local police officers suggest corruption within the force
