An oddball captain, his strange crew-and a parakeet from the Bronx-form the bizarre band of characters that Napoleon Solo encounters on a mystery pirate ship. Convinced the world is about to end in a fiery nuclear holocaust, deranged Captain Shark prowls the high seas in his innocent-appearing but well armed cargo ship, kidnapping prominent persons in the fields of science and literature to repopulate the earth. On Mr. Waverly's orders, Napoleon and Illya masquerade as shipwrecked sailors, board the ship and are about to rescue Shark's victims when events take a sudden and bewildering turn for the two U.N.C.L.E. agents
