Period drama series based on John Galsworthy's novels. The Forsyte family gather to celebrate the engagement of Winifred to Montague Dartie, although Winifred's parents disapprove. Soames meets penniless but beautiful Irene Heron while in Bournemouth on business for the family law firm and proposes after an aggressive courtship. Jolyon follows his heart, deserting his family for a mistress, and is cut off by his father.

    i also would like to know when the episode of the forsyte saga on july the 16th is going to be shown as if i knew you were not going to show it i would have watched it on 1tv3 live instead of waiting for it on itv player hopefully someone knows if anyone can help then please show the episode on july the 16th as i really enjoy watching it.
