Eve is soon in demand everywhere, but her book seems to include revelations about her love life, and it has a disastrous effect on her marriage. The colonel is anxious to find out the identity of the young man Eve's poems were addressed to - and when she tells him, the truth hits hard. From a story by Somerset Maugham.
