A caustic restaurant critic, Barry Secord, is found murdered. As the team uncover the details of his last big story, his death begins to look like part of a conspiracy that reaches beyond the world of fine dining. There seems to be no shortage of candidates who would have been delighted to see his demise. But a burglar who robbed the journalist's flat doesn't seem capable of carrying out the crime - then a chef is reported missing.
