Gritty crimebusting action with Mark McManus as the Glaswegian detective, and it's the very last story to feature him in the title role, although the series has carried on running without its lead character for years now! Jim Taggart is promoted to Acting Superintendent when McVitie has a heart attack, but he doesn't take too kindly to his new administrative role, and Marjorie McVitie accuses him of causing her husband's condition.
