I saw the original series; I do not recall it ever being shown again! I wonder how true to the original this series will be?

I thought this was brilliant, gritty and realistic (to a point). There were some oddities and glaring mistakes but these are few enough to be ignored. Very similar grittiness to The Last Train which is well recommended. I will be looking forward to how the series pans out.

The scriptwriter has "re-imagined" the story so it bears little resemblance to the original. However, I am prepared to stick with it in the hope that it is as thought provoking as the original.

The original series are available on DVD so I must watch them again!
