Clark is thrilled to learn that Raya, the Kryptonian girl who helped him get out of the Phantom Zone, managed to escape as well and is now in Smallville. As the two grow close, Raya shows Clark how to restore power to the Fortress of Solitude. However, Baern, a killer who also escaped from the Zone, threatens both Raya and Clark, seeking revenge for his imprisonment.
