When Jonathan's wallet is stolen, Clark speeds off after the thief, but he's amazed when even he cannot catch him. Later, the mystery thief visits the farm, and introduces himself to Clark as Bart, aka The Flash. He tries to persuade Clark to leave Smallville and embark on a life on the road together, flexing their super powers. Meanwhile, Lex buys a framed manuscript embellished with Kryptonian symbols, and Clark learns that it contains a hidden map. However, when Bart steals the map, he inadvertently puts Clark's life in danger, and must decide whether to save him, or save himself.
