Clark joins the football team at school and is immediately promoted to starting quarterback after a former player starts a fight with new coach Jason. Suspicious about the change in the other player's behaviour, Clark and Lois investigate and discover that the cheerleaders are poisoning the team's water with kryptonite - transforming the players into Stepford-esque boyfriends.
