After discovering that Lionel has secretly installed video cameras in the mansion, Lex hires thugs to put surveillance devices in Lionel's Metropolis office. However, the situation gets out of control when Lionel and Martha surprise the intruders and are taken hostage. Desperate for a way to save his mother without exposing his powers, Clark must access the office from an adjacent tall building, if he can make the leap in a single bound.
