Whitney Fordman returns home from a tour of duty with the Marines, hoping to renew his relationship with Lana. However, Whitney's strange behaviour prompts Clark to question his friend's motives, which ultimately reveals a shocking truth. Meanwhile, Lex becomes suspicious of his new girlfriend, Dr Helen Bryce, when he finds a photograph of her with Lionel.
