A grieving widower struggles to come to terms with the death of his wife and takes up residence in the Fisher Funeral Home. Ruth is wooed by the parlour's Russian florist Nikolai, Claire finds herself attracted to Brenda's brother and David is stalked by a divorced parishioner. Meanwhile, Nate uncovers some of his father's secrets when investigating the business finances - it seems that his father had been trading funerals for payment other than cash!
