The frisky foursome head to Staten Island for the New York City Fire Department's 'Calendar Contest'. Predictably, Samantha hooks up with a hunky fireman, but their passion is dampened when he has a real fire to attend to. As Charlotte declares this is the year she will get married, Carrie finds herself courted by a local politician. Plus, Miranda reluctantly agrees to be escorted home by Steve following laser-vision surgery.
