Are we doomed to repeat the same unconscious relationship patterns and date the same type of person over and over again? Separated from Mr Big, Carrie falls back on her between-relationship habits to help ease the pain - only this time she wants to break the pattern by turning it into a relationship. Meanwhile, Miranda continues her pattern of attracting angry guys when she dates an argumentative lawyer who wants to control her life in and out of bed, Samantha enjoys the company of her new neighbours, and Charlotte begins to take the lead by asking out men.
