It's Miranda's thirty-something birthday and, along with her friends Carrie, Samantha and Charlotte, she decides to stop worrying about finding the perfect man and start having sex like men. Carrie is the first to take that step by sleeping with an ex-boyfriend, while Carrie sets Miranda up with her friend Skipper. But it seems that Skipper likes Miranda more than she likes him. Meanwhile, Charlotte thinks she's found found a great guy in Capote Duncan, but all is not what it seems. Samantha is also having bad luck with her chosen man, Mr Big.
