Another case for the author-turned-detective armed with a powerful imagination. Jessica agrees to give a series of lectures in creative writing to the inmates of a women's prison. But when the prison doctor is murdered following a heated row with the warden, the temperature reaches boiling point. Then, after a second murder, Jessica is taken hostage.
