A body is found in the River Thames during the annual Midsomer Regatta: ladies' man Guy Sweetman appears to have been killed after arguing with his friends Philip Trent and John Parkway from the rowing club. When Barnaby & Scott dig into the luxury lifestyles of the members, they discover a tangled network of money problems and sexual jealousy. Then the dead man's girlfriend is attacked in her own home
