Feature-length drama about a detective whose patch is a seemingly idyllic rural district. Barnaby and Troy have to solve a double murder when a feisty former socialite and a Casanova are found bludgeoned to death. However, the motives for the murders seem disparate, and there are several people who are suspected of involvement.
