Feature-length drama about a detective whose patch is an idyllic rural district. When Susan Bartlett's body is discovered in a wood, villagers assume she killed herself because she could not have children. However, when it comes to light that her suicide note - in the form of an e-mail - was sent too late, Barnaby soon finds himself in the midst of witchcraft, ancient potions, infidelity and land feuds.
