Feature-length drama about a detective whose patch is a seemingly idyllic rural district. When the wife of a wealthy landowner is bludgeoned to death with a cricket bat, DCI Tom Barnaby and his team are enmeshed in a succession of calculating murders. Once again, blackmail, deceit, greed and revenge threaten to destroy Midsomer's tranquillity.
