Wheeler-dealer drama as Lovejoy learns of a former diplomat with precious items to sell - gifts which should have been handed over to the Government. To secure his retirement, the diplomat is only looking for $100,000, so - despite dire warnings from friends - Lovejoy borrows from a loanshark, using his daughter's flat as security. When the deal goes wrong, Lovejoy must invent the most outrageous scam of his life to save her home.
