Beth discovers a valuable Old Crome but Lovejoy, to Tinker's consternation, blows the proceeds on an antique chess set. He is unaware that it is part of a trap set by one of his old and deadliest enemies to exact revenge for an affair Lovejoy was supposed to have had with the man's wife.
