Their co-workers include Detective John Munch; paranoid, fond of conspiracy theories, and known to correct grammar during interrogations. But predators underestimate him at their peril. His low-key partner, Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola, hits just the right counter-note with his sly sense of humor. The detective's work is overseen by Captain Donald Cragen; a stern, but fair and compassionate commander. Forensic psychiatrist George Huang is on-hand, to provide insight into the minds of the accused. Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot does her utmost to prosecute each case, striving for justice amidst legal technicalities, and politics.
