The detectives investigate the murder of a woman whose scantily clad body is found on the Upper East Side. Initially believing her to be a prostitute, they soon learn she was a doctor who had been handing out unauthorised doses of a powerful drug. The hunt for her killer leads the team into deceit and blackmail.
