The multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-winning epic historical series continues. John Adams stars Paul Giamatti in the title role, and Laura Linney as his wife Abigail. In this episode, President Adams holds firm to keep America out of the Anglo-French conflict, despite intense provocation from France. Adams also falls out with Thomas Jefferson, and disowns his alcoholic son, Oliver, shortly before Oliver's death.
