The larger-than-life actor William Conrad (Cannon) stars with Joe Penny (Blood Vows) in this entertaining detective series as J. L. McCabe, the Los Angeles DA who gets tough on crime with the help of his special investigator sidekick, Jake Styles. In this episode, A friend of Derek's who is trying to stay clean, is found dead filled with drugs and alcohol. The police put it down to suicide but Derek is certain there is more to it.
