I am afraid the series George Gently is entirely ruined in my view by the fact that the cars used are, in most cases, very obviously much later than 1964 but have had 'period' registration plates fitted in an attempt to make them look authentic. Very distracting to car enthusiasts!

I thoroughly enjoy the programme. As usual, the costumes etc have caught the era perfectly. I do have a question though regarding the 3rd May showing. There was a Dusty Springfield song played, and I would like to know the title of the song please. Many thanks all round.

this series is unauthentic in the historicsl sense snd the political correctness and sanctonious moralising makes me cringe and ethicnally it is not of that era with the charactors portrayed

Was 'Bomber's Moon' filmed in part in Greystones, Co. Wicklow? The 'quay' I would lay bets on is Greystones! It looked VERY familiar!! "voncass said...The series is set is entirely shot in Dublin" but Greystones is NOT in DUBLIN
