In Suspicious Circumstances

Edward Woodward returns to present another series of this popular drama documentary series which sets about recreating notorious crime scenes from the past and sheds new light on some of the mysteries.

Woodward introduces each of the six episodes which contain two separate crimes and provides the narration which guides the viewers through the intricacies of the cases.

The crimes in this programme span the ages and the continents, from 16th Century England to India at the time of the Raj and on into the 1930s.

Society scandals, poisonings, mistaken identities and a mystery close to Queen Elizabeth I herself are all part of this programme, as well as the revelation of new evidence about a possible killer.

Starring in the new series is a selection of faces from British soaps including Ellie Haddington from Eastenders, Leslee Udwin of El Dorado, Matilda Ziegler from Harbour Lights, Eastenders and Mr Bean.
