An anthralling adventure with the other lady sleuth who proves that just because you're of retirement age it doesn't mean you can't crack crimes. Hetty is asked by local councillor Brian Weston to help mediate between the council and his mother, who has barricaded herself into her ramshackle flat, and Hetty's investigation soon leads her to uncover bribery and corruption. Based on characters from the novel by David Cook.
