Drama series set in the 1960s about a policeman in Yorkshire. The annual funfair comes to Aidensfield, causing much excitement but some ill feeling too. When the proprietor of a nearby caravan site complains about the noise and mess, Nick tells her there is nothing he can do. Then a five-year-old boy goes missing.
