In a hollow on the moors, a gang of men rounds up and expertly shear a flock of sheep under the cover of night. Meanwhile, Blaketon presents the Sidney Baxter Memorial Cup at the Golf Club to this year's winner, Terry Hyde. Sidney's widow, Shirley Baxter presents the trophy. Richard, her son, steps in, to get her home, but she's having none of it and sweeps Blaketon into a waltz.
