Pratt tries to stop Gallant from over-reacting when they are apprehended and questioned as possible suspects after a murderous rampage at the diner near the hospital. Lewis befriends a teenage cancer patient who fears he might not have long to live. Meanwhile, Carter is forced to endure a lengthy trip to the bus station with Abby's inquisitive mother Maggie.
