Carol talks an uninsured, sickly, heavily pregnant woman into coming to the ER for a check up. Mark and Dave treat the victim of a skydiving accident and a suicidal teenager while Mark tries to sort out his father's finances over the phone causing an accident. Mark and Lawrence come to blows over the same patient. Romano is enraged by an unflattering ER story in the local paper. Carter hears some disturbing news regarding Elaine Nichols. Meanwhile the nurses organise a bridal shower for Jeanie and a car accident family kick up a fuss because they weren't taken to their requested hospital with near tragic consequences.
