Kerry goes on the warpath when she discovers sloppiness, incorrect diagnoses and improper procedures among the ER staff and certain staff members feel the intensity of her wrath. Carol upsets Kerry further when she revives a DNR, so to allow her to spend one last moment with her young family. Abby wrongly diagnoses an ovarian cyst as PID, which leads to the patient becoming septic. Carter is still having trouble sleeping and his erratic behaviour is becoming more and more apparent. Meanwhile Carol makes a life-altering decision and Mark decides to change his father's burial request and spend more time with his daughter.
