Carter is causing concern over his agitated behaviour; he tells a construction worker that he has got a life threatening disease, only to find there was a mix-up. He upsets Chen by pushing her out of the way when dealing with a very ill young girl adn calls security on a regular homeless gentleman, who has been forced into a dumpster by garbage men. Peter and Corday come to blows over Finch's overruling of a decision made by Corday. Abby tries to convince an exhausted pregnant mother of 5 to have an abortion even though her husband doesn't agree, without telling him. Mark is forced to stay at home and care for his sick father after his foul temperedness drives away his latest nurse.
