Joi asks Doug to end Ricky's suffering with career altering results all round when he does eventually die. Carol's clinic gets the pull due to the fact that she provided the P.C.A machine for Ricky. Mark and Kerry face disciplinary action for not reporting Doug's study tampering and Doug gets relegated to desk duty. Meanwhile Carter and Lucy are getting closer and Peter has started sign language classes to assist his son with his disability.
