In this special road-trip episode of ER we see Doug and Mark going to California so to allow Doug to identify his father's body and put his affairs to rest. While investigating how he died he has to learn to come to terms with his father's legacy. Mark decides while they are in the area he will visit his mum and dad in San Diego, after not seeing them in 7 years. This journey reveals many family secrets and disturbing insights.
